DR. MITCHELL NEUWERT
Dr. Neubert’s interest in organizations was initially stirred by observing the ups and downs of a parent in a small family business. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Business degree at the University of Minnesota, and, after his own experiences with a regional bank, global manufacturing company, and a non-profit organization, earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of Iowa, with emphases in human resource management and organizational behavior.
Dr. Neubert now serves at Baylor University, where he is an Associate Professor of management and entrepreneurship and holds the Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business. In this role, Dr. Neubert provides leadership in a variety of ethics initiatives, including hosting an annual ethics forum and the National MBA Case Competition in Ethical Leadership. He teaches virtue-based leadership in both undergraduate and executive MBA programs and was awarded the Hankamer School of Business Teaching Excellence Award in 2013. Outside of the classroom, he is a mentor and advisor to students in promoting personal leadership development and social entrepreneurship initiatives. He also learns from and consults with business leaders through his association with Leadership Trek Corporation (www.LTrek.com), an adventure-themed leadership development company.
