5.1 Introduction
The roaf.gps package was created to manage spatial coordinates and to
keep universal time. The GPSunit can be attached to any real object and
it reflects its motion. From a developer’s point of view, it is very helpful
to wrap the GPS number-crunching into a single component. On the other
hand, human perception is dominated by visual information, and it is more
intuitive to display traces on a map rather than looking at large amounts
of decimal numbers.
