How This Book Is Organized
This book is divided into four sections. The first section provides an overview of creating basic single-threaded and multi-threaded Windows services. The second section describes how to interact with your service and create monitoring solutions that support administrative notifications. The third section demonstrates how to communicate with multiple Internet protocols and create a server service allowing for client connections. The fourth section covers the advanced topics of scheduling, configuring, debugging, and securing your Windows service from the ground up.
