I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Data selection
There are several ways to select data in QGIS. In this chapter, we will look at the drawing selection options in Attributes Toolbar that we highlighted in Chapter 1, Getting Started with QGIS 3. Let's select some data from Airports. Click on the Airports layer in the Layers panel (making sure it is highlighted) and select the Select Features by area or single click button. Note that there are other ways of drawing a selection from the drop-down button, including selecting by polygon, freehand, and radius. In this example, we will use the default select features option, as shown in the following screenshot:
