I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
GeoPackage
I have loaded all the Shapefiles in the shapefiles folder to a GeoPackage layer. You can download this layer from here: https://github.com/PacktPublishing/QGIS-Quick-Start-Guide/blob/master/Alaska_GeoPackage.zip.
Expand GeoPackage in the Browser panel, as shown in the following screenshot. In Chapter 3, Creating Data, we will look at how to add a layer to this package. For now, select the Airports layer and drag it into your map as follows:
