In this chapter, I walk you through the practice management features that the Accountant version provides. The practice management tools are immediately available whenever you log in to the Accountant version. You can also return to them at any time by clicking on your client’s company name at the top of the screen and then choosing Back to Practice.
Introducing the Work Page
The Work command appears within the Your Practice section of the sidebar in the Accountant version. Your clients can’t see the Work page, and you decide which elements of the Work page each of your team members can see. As shown in Figure 19-1, the Work page tracks work to be completed for both your clients and your members of your firm by way of
- Automated notifications from your clients’ QuickBooks companies
- Projects and tasks that you create
- Requests that you send to your clients
The Work page in Figure 19-1 is mostly blank because I’ve only set up one project thus far.
