I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Before you sign a thing...don’t sign a thing! For so many people, it takes more time to buy a car (all day long) than it does to lose a job during a layoff. (One stroke of the pen and you’re gone.) Too bad it’s not reversed. But the stress, shock, and pressure to either not make a scene, be cooperative, leave with dignity, or just get your belongings and get home only make it easy on the people who want to dismiss you. Doesn’t do you any good at all.
In fact, your being super-cooperative by signing that severance package right then and there could cost you many thousands of dollars. And you have every right and reason to hold off. Now that you know this, recognize any pressure or implied threat as Corporate’s need ...
