Before you sign a thing...don’t sign a thing! For so many people, it takes more time to buy a car (all day long) than it does to lose a job during a layoff. (One stroke of the pen and you’re gone.) Too bad it’s not reversed. But the stress, shock, and pressure to either not make a scene, be cooperative, leave with dignity, or just get your belongings and get home only make it easy on the people who want to dismiss you.
