With his B.A. from Yale and doctorate in history from Columbia, Richard Tedlow came to Harvard Business School on a research fellowship in 1978 and joined the faculty the following year as a professor of first-year marketing. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in the school’s business history program. He is the author of Giants of Enterprise: Seven Business Innovators and the Empires They Built, named a top-ten business book of 2001 by BusinessWeek magazine.
