Introduction

This chapter focuses on questions of method, research design, and case selection in corporeal research within critical security studies. Corporeal, as an umbrella term, covers research that deals with affect, emotions, and the somatic. Corporeal research is relatively new to critical security studies; its origins are elsewhere in cultural theory, gender studies, geography, and psychology.
