13.1 INTRODUCTION
In the following section, we demonstrate the RFID logistics application framework. The squares
represent the planning phases strategic, intermediary, and tactical. The left side of Figure 13.1 dem-
onstrates the research and assessments performed at the different planning stages, which include
supply chain network design decisions, transportation policies, and inventory control policies. The
