Case Study: Multichannel RFID
There are many examples on how radio frequency identication (RFID) technologies have been used
in military applications. This chapter highlights two innovative ideas from two military contractors.
The rst is using RFID technologies that have the possibility of switching from passive RFID
technologies to active technologies. The other highlights the concepts of “RFID in the Box.” The
two companies that have provided the information are VerdaSee Solutions and Savi technologies,
a division of Lockheed Martin, respectively.
