Markers

Specialized stationery stores stock a very wide choice of markers, from very fine to very thick and from very hard to very soft. Chisel-tip and brush-tip markers require a certain level of dexterity, so they are best avoided if you are a beginner.

The choice of width will depend on the size of your rough and the effect you want to achieve. To start with, I suggest choosing two kinds of marker that are easy to use.
