Getting Started

Seen from the side, all four-wheeled vehicles can be schematically drawn as two rectangles on top of each other. Of course, their proportional lengths may vary depending on the kind of car (for instance, on whether it is a sedan or a minivan), but keep in mind that the vehicle’s body always makes up approximately two thirds of its total height.

1. First sketch the angles and general shape of your vehicle.

2. Adjust the proportions if necessary.

3. Add the details that will contribute to defining its personality, then make your final drawing in ink.
