Looked at schematically, the foot is made up of three squares: one for the heel, one for the midfoot, and one for the toes.
In order to draw a bare foot, round out the heel, the sole, and the instep. Use a small, curved line to indicate the anklebone. Whether from the side or from the front, the toes can be represented by five rectangles of different sizes.
