When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Conventions Used in This Book
The following formatting conventions are used in this book:
- Italic
Used for file and directory names, pathnames, names of Slash modules and packages, and for important terms when they are first introduced

Constant width Used for configuration variable names, literal values, database table names, names of Slash functions, and command lines and options that should be typed verbatim

Constant width italic Used for replaceable arguments within a variable name or a command line

Constant width bold Used in text that is typed in code examples by the user
To distinguish between Slash elements and non-Slash elements, certain elements within Slash (such as a Story, Topic, or Section) are uppercased. For example, a book author would be lowercased, but an Author on a Slash system is uppercased.
