Abstract
Cloud computing is an emerging field in which security is one of the major concerns. Integrating mobile technology with cloud technology is a demanding task these days. This chapter discusses different security issues and challenges in mobile cloud computing when integrating cloud computing with mobile technology. To this end a discussion of various security protocols and solutions provided by different researchers is presented in an organized manner, thereby paving the way for future directions in this area. This chapter extends the discussion to the three subcategories of security issues in mobile cloud computing—infrastructural or architectural issues, privacy issues and compliance issues—and the challenges in these security parameters.
