When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using the CD
To install the items from the CD to your hard drive, follow these steps.
- Insert the CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
The license agreement appears.
Note to Windows users: The interface won't launch if you have autorun disabled. In that case, choose Start
Run. (For Windows Vista and Windows 7, choose StartAll ProgramsAccessoriesRun.) In the dialog box that appears, type D:/Start.exe. (Replace D with the proper letter if your CD drive uses a different letter. If you don't know the letter, see how your CD drive is listed under My Computer.) Click OK.Note to Mac Users: When the CD icon appears on your desktop, double-click the icon to open the CD and double-click the Start icon. Also, note that the content menus may not function as expected in newer versions of Safari and Firefox; however, the documents are available by navigating to the Contents folder.
- Read through the license agreement and then click the Accept button if you want to use the CD.
