Paid Support

Paid support is available for some open source products. This type of support is similar to what most people are familiar with from the commercial software world. E-mail is the preferred support mechanism, with more personal support mechanisms available at a higher cost. An organization would typically be expected to identify one or several individuals who would have responsibility for contact with the support organization; other members of the supported organization would be expected to funnel their queries through the responsible individuals.

Paid support is also available for some open source products.
