Isabelle was looking forward to the conversation with Eve scheduled in the morning following the conversation with her husband.
“Hi, Eve, nice seeing you again. And thanks for taking the time to do this video call with me. Our last conversation was very helpful. It made me think a lot, especially about the importance of having a well-functioning top team at ATG. Also, we didn't finish the conversation about heuristics. I would love to know more about these decisions rules,” said Isabelle.
“Thank you! Our last conversation was helpful to me as well. It helped me synthesize my work,” said Eve with her typical smile. “I sometimes get lost in my own research. Amidst all the trees, I don't see the forest anymore, so to speak. Talking about my research helps me clarify my thinking.”
Eve's humility was disarming. Isabelle felt again immediately at ease with her, as she did when they had first met on the plane.
Isabelle continued: “Thank you. I'd be interested to learn more about heuristics. In fact, I am facing a decision that I don't know how to make. More than a decision, it is a dilemma. I am confronted with two choices, and, to be honest, I don't like either of them. Can I tell you about it in confidence?” asked Isabelle.
