Quarterly and Feature Preparation
The previous two chapters examined the planning and specification of features. This chapter focuses on analysis activities to prepare features for development. If the teams are using a flow-based (Kanban) approach, feature preparation occurs as each feature approaches the top of the backlog. If they’re using a timeboxed planning approach, the set of features lined up for the next quarter is prepared before the quarterly planning meeting. Figure 10.1 highlights the activities, events, and artifacts included in this chapter.
