Welcome to the 4th edition of The Art of SEO. I’ve always valued this book through each of its prior editions, and this edition is no different. If you have an interest in learning about search engine optimization (SEO), this book is one of the best places you could possibly start.

But why does SEO remain such an important field of endeavor, and what is it that makes it worth learning? There are many driving factors for this. These include:

  • SEO as a discipline predates Google. It has been around for over 25 years. As a career, it offers so many different opportunities for those who become proficient with it.
