Canadian Kyle MacDonald had a pretty unusual idea for how to use a paperclip. He set himself the challenge of seeing what he could get for it by trading-up and, after 14 trades, exactly one year later he ended up with a house in Kipling, Saskatchewan (and that was before the housing market crashed in 2007).
