As tradition prescribes, the spring party is held at the Fort Wayne convention center, the only place big enough to seat such a large number of people.
Inside, it’s clear that the organizing committee has done a marvelous job. There are cocktail tables interspaced by lounge areas but no fixed seating. This gives guests the opportunity to float around and talk to many different people during the evening. Waiters are offering appetizers and drinks. I shake a lot of hands and introduce Heidi to a lot of people. She seems bewildered.
