So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Part 4: The Functions
This section contains three cases: (1) “Breaking Ground in Services Purchasing,” (2) “Lean at Kramer Sports,” and (3) “UPS Logistics and to Move Toward 4PL—or Not?” Although the focus of the three cases is best described as addressing several of the basic, functional tasks within the supply chain, each case examines a particular functional task and its attendant challenges for managers.
The “Breaking Ground in Services Purchasing” case focuses on an area of organizational spending (i.e., purchasing) and the improvement of efficiency and effectiveness in services procurement.
