6. ADD SOME LIGHT WHEN YOU NEED TO
SHOOTING LOW-LIGHT IMAGES doesn’t mean you can’t add some light when you need to. The key is to know what type of light to add and how much so that you don’t ruin the low-light look of your images. This is especially true for portraits shot in low light where you want to shine a little light onto the subject. In Figures 6.1 and 6.2 you can see the difference it made when I added a touch of light to my portrait of Sam. In this case, I used an off-camera flash with a softbox.
