Glossary

Leader: A person who has at least one person following them.

Follower: A person who has decided to pay attention to, take their cues about how to act and react from, and have their thoughts, words and actions influenced by, a person they deem as ‘leader’.

Empathy: The ability to sense other people’s emotions, coupled with the ability to imagine what someone else might be thinking or feeling.¹

Compassion: A sense of concern that arises when we are confronted with another’s suffering and feel motivated to see that suffering relieved.²

Kindness: An action (or set of actions), connecting a person’s internal feelings of empathy and compassion to others that is undertaken with the purpose of generating a positive effect and outcome for another. ...
