So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Dance
To understand the duties of the production manager in dance, we need to understand the discipline, the reasoning for the work and how it all comes together. The unique part of this art form is that its driving force lies within the movement. The story, the themes or even, sometimes, the music take a secondary role to the movement of bodies in space. “Dance” is an all-encompassing art that contains many styles, but for the purposes of this chapter, we will focus on two types of dance—ballet and modern/contemporary.
