Tanya Janca, also known as SheHacksPurple, is the founder of We Hack Purple, a tech startup specializing in online and virtual security training for IT professionals. They also provide coaching services, helping companies launch and improve their AppSec programs. Tanya has been coding since she was a teen. She has worked in IT for more than 20 years, won numerous awards, started her own company several times, been a public servant, and worked for tech giants such as Microsoft, Adobe, and Nokia. She has been a pentester, CISO, CEO, AppSec engineer, but mostly a software developer. She is an award-winning public speaker, active blogger, and streamer and has delivered hundreds of talks and trainings on six continents. She values diversity, inclusion, and kindness, which shines through in her countless projects and achievements.
Tanya is also the founder of We Hack Purple, Women of Security (WoSEC), OWASP DevSlop, OWASP Victoria, and #CyberMentoringMonday.
