So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Monitoring
Monitoring is another aspect where deploying on Azure provides tremendous benefits. We want the ability to monitor application performance and then be able to make decisions based on that. Microsoft Azure provides us with a default set of tools to help us monitor not only application performance but also hardware performance.
We have the ability to monitor functions such as the following:
- HTTP server errors
- Number of requests/responses
- Average response time
- Health checks
- High CPU usage
- High memory usage, which includes physical memory usage, committed memory usage, and page operations
