Configuring VM Memory Options
For such an important part of the virtual machine, it is a bit ironic that there is only one adjustment that can be made to a virtual machine’s memory and that is to either increase or decrease the size. Additional elements are built into the hypervisor that can be adjusted on a macro level to adjust memory usage throughout the host, but we’ll cover them in the next section. Just as with a physical server, a virtual server must be configured with enough resources to do the job it has been assigned.
