So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

THE FOLLOWING 20 IMAGES were chosen for all kinds of reasons. Some were chosen for no other reason than that I like them, some because I’m often asked about them, and others because they illustrate something well—even if they aren’t my favorite images. Going into this, I think it’s helpful to remember that I approach digital postproduction from a particular starting point. Some of you will be surprised at the large difference between the image I start with and the image I end with, so that’s why I’m beginning with a note here.
