I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
In this chapter, we covered how to manage and monitor resources on the virtual infrastructure, and how to achieve their maximum utilization. We now know how to effectively manage available resources and ways to monitor their performance. This chapter also made us aware about how to monitor resource usage, so that the administrator is aware if the resources are utilized properly or not. In case of failing resources, we also know how to implement and control alarms to inform the administrator.
In the next chapter, we will have a look at High Availability and Fault Tolerance. Especially, we will learn how to implement and control these techniques to ensure availability in case of failures. We will also cover the configuration of DRS and Storage ...
