It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Long-distance vMotion
Hosting virtualized multi-tier applications is a common challenge for vSphere administrators. The need is to have the resources close enough to the end-users, to fulfill speed requirements. On the other hand, another often requested requirement is to spread workloads to alternate computing resources.
