Synopsis
<spacer> (no end tag)
Holds a specified amount of blank space within the flow of a page. This is a proprietary tag introduced by Netscape; it met with controversy and is now rarely used in common practice. It can be used to maintain space within table cells for correct display in Navigator.

type=vertical|horizontal|block Specifies the type of spacer:
verticalinserts space between two lines of text,horizontalinserts space between characters, andblockinserts a rectangular space.

size=number Specifies a number of pixels to be used with a
verticalorhorizontalspacer.

height=number Specifies height in number of pixels for a
blockspacer.

width=number Specifies width in number of pixels for a
blockspacer.

align=value Aligns
blockspacer with surrounding text. Values are the same as for the<img>tag.
