BASIC TYPES OF TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES
BPM tools cover a wide spectrum starting with basic mapping tools and including business process analysis tools, enterprise modeling tools, and BPM software suites. This chapter explores what each type of tool has to offer.
• Basic process mapping tools are just that—simple software packages, which are inexpensive and enable the user to draw a process map. No analysis capability exists in these packages.
