In this chapter, time-dependent matrix equation problems, including the Lyapunov equation, the matrix inversion, and the generalized matrix inversion, are investigated in a future (or say, discrete time-dependent) perspective. Then, in order to develop a unified solution algorithm for solving the above three future problems, a future matrix equation (FME) is investigated. A discrete-time unified solution algorithm, which is based on zeroing neural network (ZNN) method and an eight-step Zhang time discretization (8S-ZTD) formula, is thus developed and termed as eight-step discrete-time ZNN (8S-DTZNN) algorithm.
