I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Zarina Liew is a freelance
fashion illustrator and
award-winning manga artist
based in the U.K. She works
part-time in luxury fashion,
and draws from her home-
studio in West London.
Zarina’s work is inspired
primarily by 1920s culture,
Japanese woodblock prints
to nineteenth century British
illustration – all of these
elements have enabled her
to develop her drawing style,
illustrating her love of fashion
and manga art. As part of
the U.K.’s alternative press
scene she is also a keen self-
publisher, attending expo and
comic arts events as well as
teaching how to draw manga
professionally.
