
Miya Nakajima was born
in Tokyo. She studied
drawing and visual
communication design at
the Tokyo Metropolitan
Highschool of Music & Fine
Arts and graduated from the
Musashino Art University. She
began her illustrator career
after working as a designer.
Her work has appeared in
books, promotional brochures,
magazines and picture
books. She is the author of
one of the posters designed
to commemorate the fiftieth
anniversary of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights
in 1998. Since 1988, her
work can be admired in solo
exhibitions and group shows.
