It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In Chapter 19, you learned about parsing and concatenating data. This chapter deals with other potential pitfalls that a programmer might face that come in small packages. When you know what you are facing and how to face it ahead of time, you can’t help but be a better programmer. That’s the reason so much space has been devoted to overcoming obstacles.
