What Is Cognitive Competence?

Imagine yourself as a manager who works for a business that provides remediation services to end-user customers. Your company is in the business of providing postdisaster services that include cleanup and removal after such things as fires, floods, or broken water pipes. Your employer therefore puts a very high premium on customer service and the firm’s ability to generate new business is a high priority for you as a manager.
