Part I. The Problem and the Goal
To present an agile approach to estimating and planning, it is important first to understand the purpose of planning. This is the topic of the first chapter in this part. Chapter 2 presents some of the most common reasons why traditionally planned projects frequently fail to result in on-time products that wow their customers. The final chapter in this part then presents a high-level view of the agile approach that is described throughout the remainder of the book.
