Chapter 8. Projects

The avant-garde of the software community has already moved beyond traditional projects. A popular example is that of Spotify, as described in Section 5.4.2. But even a survey conducted by Forrester1 in 2009 showed that leaders in application development were selectively moving from a project-centric model of execution to a product-centric model. In this chapter, we will explore the reasons behind this shift and how they apply to enterprise IT as well.
