I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

アイソモーフィックJavaScriptという言葉を考案したのはCharlie Robbinsだとされています。2011年に、「Scaling Isomorphic Javascript Code」というブログ記事が公開されています（http://bit.ly/scalingisojs）。そしてこの言葉が普及するきっかけになったのが、2013年のSpike Brehmによる「Isomorphic JavaScript: The Future of Web Apps」（http://nerds.airbnb.com/isomorphic-javascript-future-web-apps/）などの記事や講演です。一方、アイソモーフィックという言葉の定義についてはJavaScriptコミュニティーの中で議論が見られます（http://bit.ly/renamingisojs）。Reactのトレーナーでreact-routerプロジェクトの共同開発者でもあるMichael Jacksonは、ユニバーサルJavaScriptという言葉を提案しています（http://bit.ly/universaljs）。「サーバーとクライアントの双方という意味だけでなく、ネイティブなデバイスや埋め込みアーキテクチャーなどでも実行できる」という意図が込められています。
