The first example will demonstrate how to select data from a table:
SELECT <Column List> FROM<Table Name> WHERE <Search Condition> SELECT FirstName, LastName, OrderDate FROM Orders WHERE OrderDate > '12/20/2016'
The next example will show you how to update data in a table:
SET <Column1> = <Value1>, <Column2> = <Value2>, ...WHERE <Search Condition> UPDATE OrdersSET FirstName = 'John', LastName = 'Who'WHERE LastName='Who'
