Abstract
Deployment of drones in Industry 4.0 is still in the stage of infancy. Though drones are predominantly used in civil and military applications, they possess a much wider scope in the surveillance and maintenance sector of manufacturing industries. A change in the notion of industrial maintenance from preventive to predictive is achieved by leveraging cutting-edge computing technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL). The previous era of industrial revolution witnessed preventive maintenance which calls for pre-scheduled maintenance activity that induced forced frequent maintenance.
