Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in the field of composite application, revolutionizing material development, manufacturing processes, quality control, and predictive maintenance. The impact of AI on composites, exploring its multifaceted applications and potential to reshape industries such as aerospace, automotive, and construction composites, materials composed of two or more distinct components with differing properties, have found ubiquitous use in various industries due to their exceptional strength-to-weight ratios and corrosion resistance. By detecting potential issues before they escalate, AI prevents costly breakdowns and optimizes production efficiency. The design and production of composite materials now have new opportunities for innovation and optimization thanks to the integration of AI and/or ML. Artificial intelligence approaches are employed in the autoclave production process to regulate temperature and pressure, in the curing of composites to establish control over the curing environment, and in the composites’ flaw identification process. To sum up, artificial intelligence (AI) has several uses in the composites industry, ranging from feature recognition, dependability, and uncertainty ...
