It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
In this chapter, we discussed the creation of custom tag libraries—when they should be created and the steps necessary to create them. We reviewed the tag handler life cycle, constructed a simple tag and a simple tag with a tag body. Commonly used classes and interfaces of the Sun JSP Tag API were also presented, along with some JSP tag best practices.
