Abstract
A revolutionary step forward in healthcare is represented by the growing digitalization of medical records, which promises better patient care regarding accessibility, effectiveness, and quality. Electronic health records, or EHRs, have improved communication between healthcare providers, expedited the decision-making process, and streamlined information retrieval. However, with the digital revolution came a host of previously unheard-of difficulties, especially when protecting the confidentiality and integrity of private health data. Healthcare firms must navigate a complicated terrain of growing cybersecurity risks because they are tasked with maintaining enormous amounts of private and sensitive patient data. The need for strong data security measures in the healthcare industry has increased due to the emergence of cyberattacks, data breaches, and the lucrative black market for medical data. Blockchain technology seems like a ray of hope as companies struggle with these complexities; it is a disruptive force that has the potential to completely alter the way that we think about patient data management.
