Abstract
The communication and security of the healthcare data are highly regulated as the healthcare data are majorly sensitive and require high safety measures against unapproved data access, contrivances, and leakages. As well known, IoMT called Internet of Medical Things, is a technology which is growing and reaching heights and making a great revolution in the world’s healthcare needs. The information exchange with IoMT helps attackers in hacking and then modifying the data of patients suffering from various disorders. For this, a prototype is implemented, Electronic Medical Records Management System, which makes use of a known blockchain platform called “Hyperledger”. It helps in ensuring privacy, security, and easy accessibility as well as availability in the area of medical records. Thus, there is major need to ensure the security as well as privacy of information of a particular patient. The present chapter introduces the blockchain technology that is highly used in securing data as it is used with smart contract to secure patients’ records. There is also information about the progress and opportunities of the remote patient through block chain technology by having two major frameworks called Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric. The study also further tells about introducing ...
