Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly malformed the way we interact with the physical world, joining ordinary objects to the internet for seamless communication and data exchange. The technological revolution has been accompanied by a new-fangled age of convenience and efficiency, nonetheless, it has also brought to the forefront a critical concern—data security. Safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of information in IoT ecosystems is paramount to the continued growth and adoption of this technology. This abstract delves into the multifaceted landscape of data security in IoT. It highlights the key challenges and threats faced by IoT systems, such as unauthorized access, data breaches, and privacy infringements. It also explores the various approaches and technologies that have been developed to safeguard IoT data, including encryption, authentication, access control, and anomaly detection. Furthermore, the abstract discusses the importance of end-to-end security, emphasizing the need for comprehensive security measures from device endpoints to cloud servers. It also addresses the implication of controlling acquiescence and industry values, which play a vital role in setting the bar for data protection in IoT.
